BTS is currently an extension of my private home, so it’s not usually open for a pop-in, but if you’re interested in visiting to talk plants, let us know!
BTS accepts not only houseplants, but have received fruit trees and other ornamental landscaping containers that are waiting for the right home.
If you have plants, pots, or accessories that you’d like to gift forward, please reach out to us to arrange pick up (see the question above for how).
We do not aggressively collect monetary donations as the goal of the project is to minimize the cost of beauty and greenery to the community. H does have a CashApp account ($BlackThumbATL) if you’d like to assist in off-setting the cost of materials that the project absorbs (including soil, pots, fertilizer, gas for transportation, and more), then we will accept it and use it only for BTS. To confirm, money will not be accepted in exchange for plants.
We love meeting other plant-minded folks! Keep an eye on our Events page. Generally, we are very accessible via Instagram and email.
While we greatly appreciate the offer of your time and labor, the project is quite manageable at our current capacity.
BTS is not a non-profit organization. As stated above, we do not accept money or exchanges of value from those receiving plants. We are a community-focused project that seeks to share the beauty of botany as far as we can.
BTS has received plants from local nurseries (see about them page). However, the majority of our plants have come from individuals. Whether due to a move, downsizing, or just a change in style, we have collected and continue to collect plants from neighbors all over the city.
Please check out our Instagram profile for pictures of current guests. For particular questions, please contact us via DM in IG or via email.
All BTS plants are pots are gifted away for free!
BTS is located in Decatur, Georgia and will pick up and deliver plants in the Metro Atlanta area.
